Golden Gate Analytics takes a flexible approach to technical recommendations. Our solutions are never tied to a single vendor. We recognize that the benefits of Open Source or Custom Built may be greater than the benefits of a COTS solution. Accuracy and Validation are key factors to any solution and we will never recommend a product or solution that compromises that priority.
Golden Gate Analytics believes that expectations set and expectations met are what bonds a successful relationship. Budgeting, Planning, an achievable timeline and expected performance gains are highlighted in our proposal. Scheduled status reviews as well as ad hoc meetings are part of the engagement tool set to ensure projects stays on course.

Business Intelligence Reporting Platform – Office of Naval Research (ONR)
Data Warehouse Integrated data from 4 unique DoD Procurement Systems and multiple external DoD Systems into a single unified platform for on demand access at every level of the organization.
Developed daily ETL process that integrated 4 procurement systems, DFAS Stars, Defense Travel and other source systems using combination of Informatica and Python tool sets.
Structure data into physical Star Schema and connected to the metadata layer of the OBIEE repository.
Developed Dashboards by Subject Area to support summary level financial data for executive presentation to DoD and Congressional budget authority and for cabinet level data compliance. Reporting also supported Work Flow processing required by analysts at all WBS levels through to execution as well as ad hoc queries for all levels of management.
Managed and executed system upgrades and data migrations from on premise environments to cloud based IBM Pure Data solutions. Managed and executed Oracle database upgrades from Oracle 11g to Oracle 12c. Managed and executed Oracle software upgrades from OBIEE 11g to OBIEE 12c.
Managed and executed conversion of OBIEE dashboard reports to SAP Web Intelligence reports on the IBM Pure Data Platform.
Cloud Based BI Platform – General Services Administration (GSA))
Implemented fully operational, value-added, well-organized Cloud Based Business Intelligence (BI) architecture Platform using Amazon Web Services (AWS) Redshift database.
Developed multidimensional Integrated Data Environment (IDE) in Amazon Web Service cloud computing to feed complete reporting and analytical requirements data within EDW (Enterprise Data Warehouse). Process captures source data BICs and FPDS from USA Government agencies acquisition data with focus on IT spending.
Solutions supports GSA’s FAS (Federal Acquisition Service) Office of Information Technology Category (ITC). FAS provides buying platforms & acquisition services to all levels of government.
Joint Force Logistics Reporting Solution – Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)
Integration effort to create actionable logistics data for Joint Force decision support. Solution provided DoD command structure with an integrated tool set of networked, end-to-end visibility, deployment, and distribution capabilities.
Created ETL process using COTS tools to move data from transactional sources to IGC structured, subject oriented, data warehouse environment. Built and implemented physical data layer on Oracle database. Created metadata layer and logical model for joint force query and dashboard reporting capability. Enterprise Master Reference Data (MRD) system – US Department of State (DOS)
Developed and implemented Enterprise Master Reference Data (MRD) system to provide central source for the Department of State standard reference data information that includes Org, Fund, Post, Object, Agency and Allotments codes
Implemented Metadata Repository (MDR) system to encompass comprehensive, authoritative reference information regarding State Department data elements name, definition, source, and usages. MDR promotes efficient information sharing within DOS organizations and to Federal agencies outside DOS.
Implemented Baseline Taxonomy which serves as central repository of vocabularies or terms used across Department of State.
Deployed systems improve the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of reference data with measurable reduction in maintenance efforts.
Market Intelligence Dashboard – Army Human Resources Command (HRC)
Data Warehouse integrated data from Army Military Entrance Processing (MEPS) with Census, Nielson and Woods Poole data for providing Army recruiting command with key indicators for meeting annual recruitment goals.
Established hierarchical data structure created to mirror Army command structure from HDQ level aggregation to Station level aggregation.
Used agile methodology to organize development into 16 “Sprints” with cross-functional participation from recruiters, DBAs, ETL Developers and Business Analysts. Products developed to meet CMMI level 3 standards.
Created abstraction layer for all data sources at lowest common grain and modeled into a metadata reporting layer through Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11g.
16 Dashboard products released over 18 months to recruitment command to serve recruiters across the globe.
Visualize Department of Defense Contracting Practices – Office of Secretary of Defense, Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy office (DPAP)
Developed key reporting in Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) 11g to aggregate dollar obligations at the DOD department level with drill down capability to Major Commands and contracting offices. Prioritized data vetting for accuracy to Federal Procurement Data System-Next Generation (FPDS-NG) sources. Key reports included: SBIR funding and Minority Owned Business Funding
Built and modified materialized views, creating star schema at the RPD business modeling and mapping (BMM) layer to incorporate business measures and data dimensions.
Published reports supported DPAP mission and provided knowledge base for department policy analysts.
Business Intelligence Reporting platform -- Fire Department City of New York (FDNY)
Reengineered legacy FDNY Fire Department Computer Aided Dispatches (FDCAD) to modernized Business Intelligence portal. Modernized environment replaced 30-year-old legacy system composed of the Fire Dispatch and Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) and the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system.
- Developed Reverse Engineering methodology, to define business requirements, Process Flow/Cube/ Subject area.
- Designed Dimension and Fact Information to create Conceptual, Logical and Physical multidimensional data model using industry standard Kimball Methodology.
- Built a data warehouse model to satisfy all BI reporting requirement from the CAD system to the Data Warehouse.
- Built Business Intelligence portal to measure Event/Incident, Alarm, and emergency call in.
